Bridgerton season four has officially arrived. If you haven’t watched part one, what are you doing here? (Kidding—but in all seriousness, there are some spoilers ahead.) Identity is a huge theme this season, with nearly every member of the ton looking inward to affirm both who they are and who they aren’t. Francesca Bridgerton is unsatisfied in her marriage, Violet Bridgerton is yearning for love again, and this season’s focus, Sophie Baek, is oscillating between who she was, who she is, and who she could become. While each woman is experiencing her own journey of retrospection, they all share one common thread: Each must go against the whisperings—and expectations—of the ton to achieve true peace and happiness.

Sophie Baek

“Sophie is quiet strength personified—submissive without ever being naive,” explains Kahh Spence, the founder of fragrance brand Samir Grey. Throughout season four, Sophie is regularly pictured enjoying walks outside, stopping to smell the flowers, and enjoying moments of slowness (when she’s not hiding her true identity from Colin Bridgerton, of course). We think she’d go for earthy scents like jasmine and eucalyptus for day-to-day, but satisfy her luxurious side with a rich scent like Dove’s Moonlit Masquerade Deodorant Body Mist. Violet Bridgerton

The lady of the Bridgerton household is delivering on all the steamy, yearning vibes with her story arc this season. Queen Charlotte

“With her sharp, distinctive, and entirely unbothered nature, Queen Charlotte sits in the beast-mode fragrance category,” says Spence. “She calls for something commanding, yet softened by her elegance.” Spence specifically calls out notes like sandalwood, leather, and rose, and we couldn’t agree more. There’s certainly no shortage of luxe, rose-scented soaps, sprays, and candles at the Queen’s palace, and we’re certain Parfum de Marly’s Valaya Exclusif would be her go-to fragrance for any ball.

Francesca Bridgerton

On the surface, Francesca is sweet, demure, and content. But if you’ve watched the first half of season four, you know there’s far more than meets the eye. Francesca calls for layered, dimensional scents that mirror the deeper turmoil within. With her identity and desires in flux, we think she’d find Dove’s Raspberry Randezvous Hand Wash to encapsulate her subdued sensual side.
